The new
Patrick's 1481
has opened in the former location of Braza Brazilian Steakhouse.

The great burgers are back at this location
next door to Mattison's
City Grille.

As you can see in the photo above of the "Roundabout Burger," they're just as big and juicy as
customers of the original restaurant will remember. Outside dining is a
new addition to this incarnation. It also provides some seating for
smokers.

The interior of Patrick's 1481 is very different from Patrick's at Five
Points. It's bright and modern with a little carpeting to help absorb
some noise from all the hard surfaces. There's hardly a trace of green
to be found. The only recognizable items are a few of the high-top
tables for dining in the bar area and one statue of a baseball player.
Instead of the sports memorabilia, the walls are decorated with both
modern art and works of art recognizing local arts organizations and
events such as Player's Theater and the Sarasota Bluesfest.
The food is still good, basic, American standards with the variety of
hand-made burgers being one of the main attractions.
Customer's of the old Patrick's will be happy to see many of the old
items on the menu at this (technically) new restaurant along with many
of the familiar faces from down the block.RIP Patrick's. Long live
Patrick's 1481.
A great addition to the downtown Sarasota dining scene. |
